Softball Recap: Xavier Finds Playoff Glory Versus Peshtigo

Xavier extended their postseason success on Thursday against Peshtigo. They beat the Bulldogs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-10. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

The team relied heavily on Elianna Riehl, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Abby Ourada was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Xavier kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Xavier now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Peshtigo, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.

Xavier didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Clintonville on the 3rd. Peshtigo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
