Recap: Denmark vs. Norcross Blue Devils
Denmark and the Norcross Blue Devils squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly Denmark had to settle for second. Denmark suffered a rough 34-10 loss at the hands of Norcross. Denmark was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.
Leading Norcross to victory were Kevin Maven-winchester and Arrington (aj) Watkins. Maven-winchester rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, while Watkins gained 186 total yards and two touchdowns. Maven-winchester really tore up the turf during one magnificent 79-yard run. Norcross also got help from Jahsaun Clarke who showed off his sure hands for 88 receiving yards.
Denmark's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Norcross, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Denmark does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Norcross will be playing in front of their home fans against Buford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Buford is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
