La Grange is 9-1 against Smithville since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The La Grange Leopards will head out on the road to face off against the Smithville Tigers at 5:15 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for La Grange and ten for Smithville.

Last Monday, La Grange didn't have quite enough to beat Giddings and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Smithville didn't have quite enough to beat Caldwell on Tuesday and fell 3-2. One thing that didn't help the Tigers' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Juan Rodriguez.

Miguel Esparsa wasn't going to let Caldwell walk away unscathed as he scored both of Smithville's goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.

La Grange's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12-2. As for Smithville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17-1.

La Grange was able to grind out a solid victory over Smithville in their previous matchup back in February, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for La Grange since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
