Football Recap: Gateway Skates Past Lake Placid with Ease + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Cloud, Gateway was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Lake Placid Dragons, posting a 42-13 win. Considering the Panthers have won three matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Gateway didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Johnny Reyes II and Nathaniel Cadogan. Another thorn in Lake Placid's side was Dory Thimote, who picked up 0.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made ten total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Gateway's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Lake Placid, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Gateway wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 19-8 win against Poinciana on the 17th. As for Lake Placid, they have also already played their next contest, a 42-0 victory against DeSoto County on the 17th.
