Baseball Recap: Old Forge Blue Devils vs. Lakeland Chiefs
Old Forge won against Montrose on Saturday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Blue Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Lakeland Chiefs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.
Luke Olivieri made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Old Forge is 6-3 when Olivieri allows three or fewer earned runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Olivieri was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
