Recap: Sierra Linda Bulldogs vs. South Mountain Jaguars
The Sierra Linda Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 63-18 loss at the hands of South Mountain. Sierra Linda has not had much luck with South Mountain recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Sierra Linda struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as South Mountain posted 15 assists.
It was another big night for Bry'ann Wiley, who scored 23 points along with six steals for South Mountain. Another player making a difference was Julia Abdelsalam, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Sierra Linda has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for South Mountain, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sierra Linda will take on McClintock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. McClintock is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games. As for South Mountain, they will play host again and welcome Central, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Wednesday.
