Volleyball Recap: Effingham Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Effingham lost against Mahomet-Seymour back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hearts took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The shutout was out of character for the Hearts seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-12.

Mckenzie Love paced Effingham's offense, picking up six kills. Love got some help from Berkley Pullen and her 12 assists.

Effingham's loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 17-11. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.

Effingham has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lawrenceville on the 18th. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Galesburg on the 18th.
