Volleyball Recap: Easley Takes Down Ranked Powdersville

Easley faced Powdersville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Green Wave sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Patriots. This was payback for the Green Wave, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Easley was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (109-99), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 14-25, 15-25, 25-22, 20-18.

The win (which was Easley's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. As for Powdersville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Easley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Chesnee on the 23rd. As for Powdersville, they will challenge First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest at 6:30 p.m. on the 28th.
