Soccer Recap: Castle Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten goals the game before, Castle was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They came up short against the Bloomington South Panthers, falling 4-1. Castle were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bloomington South apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Castle's goal came courtesy of Lucy Bennett, which was the first she's scored this season.

Castle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bloomington South, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Castle has already played their next game, a 9-0 victory against Evansville Central on the 28th. As for Bloomington South, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Carmel on the 25th.
