Softball Game Preview: Eastern Randolph Wildcats vs. Ledford Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Eastern Randolph Wildcats take on Ledford Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Eastern Randolph fell victim to Providence Grove and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Ledford entered their game against North Davidson on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Panthers fell just short of the Black Knights by a score of 7-6.

Emma Tesh made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Hoots, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Eastern Randolph dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Ledford, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.
