Volleyball Recap: Pilgrim Falls Short Against Ranked West Warwick

Pilgrim faced West Warwick in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Patriots lost 3-0 to the Wizards. The defeat leaves the Patriots still looking for their first win of the season.

While Pilgrim ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.

West Warwick can attribute much of their success to Jaslynn Kue, who had 12 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Kue has posted over her last five matchups.

Pilgrim's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for West Warwick, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Pilgrim does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Warwick, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Westerly on the 20th.
