Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Prep Comes Up Short

After flying high against Miami on Thursday, Lincoln Prep came back down to earth. The Lightning lost 3-0 to the Anthem Prep Eagles on Monday. The Lightning were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Peyton Pfefferkorn was a one-woman wrecking crew For Anthem Prep. as she had five aces and four digs. Madi Hatfield also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Lincoln Prep has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Anthem Prep, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Lincoln Prep will be playing at home against Fountain Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Anthem Prep, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Mayer on the 30th.
