Basketball Recap: Ty'jahwuan Jackson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Quartz Hill over Glendora

If Quartz Hill was riding high fresh off their 66-42 takedown of Wilson on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Royals fell 64-52 to the Glendora Tartans on Saturday. The game marked the Royals' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Quartz Hill's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty'Jahwuan Jackson, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 16 boards. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in each of the last 34 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Henriquez, who shot 47% from the field to rack up 20 points and seven boards.

Quartz Hill moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Glendora, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Quartz Hill will take on St. Bonaventure in a tournament on December 1. As for Glendora, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eisenhower at 8:00 p.m. on December 1.
