Volleyball Recap: Allentown Central Catholic Starts off Right with Win over Louis E. Dieruff

Allentown Central Catholic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Louis E. Dieruff Huskies with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Allentown Central Catholic was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-11, 25-14.

Allentown Central Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mary Psarros out in front who had ten digs. Those ten digs gave Psarros a new career-high.

Louis E. Dieruff is on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
