            Baseball Recap: Eagle's View Warriors vs. St. Edward's Pirates        
        
		
        
        
            Eagle's View owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  2-0  win over the St. Edward's Pirates. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Warriors.

Eagle's View got a great performance from  Lukas Presely as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Presely also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because the Warriors are 3-1 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 8-10 otherwise.
 At the plate, Eagle's View's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Jake Montgomery, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.  Clayton Friidall also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
The  win  got Eagle's View back to even at 11-11. As for St. Edward's, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
 Coming up, Eagle's View will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against Duval Charter  at 11:00  a.m. The Panthers will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Edward's, they will be taking part in a tournament against Foundation Christian Academy  at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 11.7  runs per game this season.
