Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Roncalli

The Roncalli Royals earned a 4-1 win over the Cincinnati Christian Cougars on Saturday.

Nico Amodeo and Andrew McHugh dominated on the mound. Amodeo pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits, while McHugh pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Amodeo has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Roncalli's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Rudy Schoettle, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Will Manship was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
