Basketball Recap: Mancelona Takes a Loss

After flying high against Forest Area last Friday, Mancelona came back down to earth. The Mancelona Ironmen lost 66-45 to the Bellaire Eagles on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Ironmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 368th, while the Eagles are ranked 178th).

Mancelona's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Bellaire, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Mancelona will face off against Pellston at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mancelona is facing Pellston at the right time seeing as Pellston is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Bellaire, they will be playing at home against St. Francis at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
