With a year left to play, Georgia star Ivy Tolbert has piled up 187 goals over the past two seasons.
With 83 goals this season, national leader
Ivy Tolbert of
Commerce (Ga.) now has two of the top 25 greatest goal-scoring seasons in the history of high school girls soccer.
Tolbert scored 104 goals in 2022 to place in a tie for No. 7 all-time, according to national records compiled by MaxPreps. That mark was matched over the winter by
Johanna Petrone of
Live Oak (Calif.).
Unfortunately for Tolbert and her Commerce teammates, their season came to an end last week in a 3-2 loss to Mount Vernon in Georgia's Class A Division I semifinals.
Kassi Ginther of
Summit Christian Academy (Lee's Summit, Mo.) broke the national record in 2017 with 130 goals. She passed
Lauren Bouvia of
Weiser (Idaho), who had 127 goals in 2015.
The list of players with 72 or more goals represents players who compete in the fall, winter and spring. Ginther holds the national record for the spring season while Bouvia holds the record for the fall. Fernanda Sarellano of
Creekview (Carrollton, Texas) holds the winter record of 122 goals, set in 2018-19.
Sources for the list include the National Federation of High Schools record book, the Cal-Hi Sports Record Book, state association record books and the MaxPreps Leaderboards.
