Basketball Recap: KIPP Austin Brave Takes a Loss

KIPP Austin Brave was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Valor South Austin Falcons and fell 74-19. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 93-5 back in January.

Among those leading the charge was Jason Guerrero, who went 5 for 9 to rack up 13 points and five rebounds. Levin Dwelle was another key player, putting up eight points and five steals.

KIPP Austin Brave's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Valor South Austin, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

KIPP Austin Brave didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-29 loss against IDEA Kyle on the 4th. As for Valor South Austin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-27 victory against Harmony School Of Excellence-Austin on the 4th.
