Recap: Highland Rams vs. Preston Indians
The Highland Rams lost against the Preston Indians back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. 2024 welcomed Highland with a 51-30 loss courtesy of Preston. Highland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Highland still got an impressive performance from Rian Pokibro, who scored nine points along with six rebounds. Pokibro scored a full 30% of Highland's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Highland has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Preston, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland will face off against Thunder Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Thunder Ridge is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Preston, they will head out on the road to face off against Century at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Century is ranked 107th, while Preston is ranked 88th).
