Baseball Recap: St. Johns Falls Short of Tombstone in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Johns can now relate to. They lost 6-0 to the Tombstone Yellow Jackets on Friday. The Redskins have struggled against the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

St. Johns' defeat dropped their record down to 14-13-1. As for Tombstone, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7-1.

St. Johns does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tombstone, they will challenge Glendale Prep Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Griffins' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Yellow Jackets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
