Football Recap: Washington Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Washington fell victim to Eastmark and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Firebirds and fell 48-0. The Rams' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Eastmark found their leader in sophomore Dayne Silver, who threw for 286 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyson Lunt, who picked up 81 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Washington now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Eastmark, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Washington will venture away from home to take on Carl Hayden Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Eastmark, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Mesquite at 7:00 p.m. The game will give the Firebirds their first taste of in-conference action this season.
