Baseball Recap: Hubbard Comes Up Short

Hubbard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to the Dawson Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 7-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Hubbard saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Weatherby, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Hubbard's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Dawson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

While Hubbard had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
