Winfield faced Charleston Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Generals came out on top against the Irish by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Tuesday.

Brooklyn Cole paced Winfield's offense, picking up 12 kills. Cole got some help from Kynnlee Mcclure and her ten assists.

The victory made it two in a row for Winfield and bumps their season record up to 21-7-2. As for Charleston Catholic, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 22-5-1 record.

Winfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Greenbrier West on the 4th. As for Charleston Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Wirt County on the 4th.
