Basketball Recap: Holt Comes Up Short

Holt was the 60-50 winner over American Christian Academy when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Holt Ironmen fell just short of the American Christian Academy Patriots by a score of 58-56 on Thursday.

Holt's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for American Christian Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-16.

Holt won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bibb County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Holt knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Bibb County likes a good challenge. As for American Christian Academy, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against West Blocton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
