Football Recap: Cottonwood Falls to North Sanpete in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Cottonwood unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 45-7 loss at the hands of the North Sanpete Hawks. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Sanpete to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddox Madsen, who rushed for 28 yards and three touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Madsen a new career-high.

Coming up, Cottonwood is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Bear River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Sanpete, they will be playing at home against Deseret Peak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
