Flatirons Academy and Front Range Christian are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2018, but not for long. The Bison will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Front Range Christian took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Flatirons Academy, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Flatirons Academy got the win against Union Colony Prep by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Flatirons Academy was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-12.

Flatirons Academy relied on the efforts of Tessa Miller, who had ten digs and five aces, and Lexi Richman, who had five digs, four aces, and one block. Richman is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.
They weren't the only good servers: Flatirons Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Front Range Christian took on Gilpin County on Tuesday. The Falcons fell 3-1 to the Eagles.
Front Range Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 25-27, 27-25, 25-10, 25-17.
Despite the loss, Front Range Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Morgan Battey had 22 digs.
Front Range Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Flatirons Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: Flatirons Academy has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Front Range Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
