It's playoff time, and Millard South had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Millard West Wildcats on Friday, sneaking past 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Millard South got a great performance from Noah Carroll as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Carroll has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Appuhn is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Millard South's victory bumped their record up to 24-10. As for Millard West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-13.
