Basketball Game Preview: Pioneer Valley Panthers vs. Paso Robles Bearcats

Pioneer Valley and Paso Robles are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Pioneer Valley Panthers take on the Paso Robles Bearcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Pioneer Valley is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Pioneer Valley is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since December 23, 2024 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Santa Maria and fell 91-52.

Meanwhile, Paso Robles ended up a good deal behind Lompoc on Tuesday and lost 62-46. The Bearcats haven't had much luck with the Braves recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Paso Robles' defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Pioneer Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Pioneer Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Paso Robles when the teams last played on January 14th, but they still walked away with a 51-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pioneer Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
