Clarksville Academy owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They blew past the Grace Christian Academy Rams 6-0. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Evan Leonard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Leonard wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jalon Page, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Clarksville Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Grace Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-13.
