Basketball Recap: Kelly Walsh Takes a Loss

Kelly Walsh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 50-34 bruising from the Thunder Basin Bolts. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-37 back in December of 2024.

Leading Thunder Basin to victory were Allie Rodgers and Addison Rouse. Rodgers went 6 for 10 en route to 18 points and three steals, while Rouse dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Rodgers a new career-high in points. Ashtyn Ketchum was another key player, putting up ten points.

Kelly Walsh's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Thunder Basin, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Kelly Walsh has already played their next contest, a 54-30 defeat against Campbell County on the 10th. As for Thunder Basin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-48 loss against Green River on the 11th.
