Softball Recap: Armada Extends Winning Streak to Five

Armada entered their tilt with St. Mary's Prep on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Eaglets with a sharp 14-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Armada's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. Mary's Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11-1.

Looking ahead, Armada will challenge Lutheran North at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. St. Mary's Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
