Alvarado won the last time they faced Ferris and things went their way on Friday too. The Alvarado Indians had just enough and edged the Ferris Yellowjackets out 1-0. The Indians wouldn't have won without Miguel Mendez, who scored the game-winner.

The win made it two in a row for Alvarado and bumps their season record up to 6-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Ferris, they now also have a losing record of 6-7.

Looking ahead, Alvarado will venture away from home to take on Godley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ferris, they will host Life Waxahachie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Life Waxahachie will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Ferris surely won't give up without a fight.
