Preview: Autaugaville Eagles vs. Marbury Bulldogs
The Autaugaville Eagles will be playing at home against the Marbury Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought match, but Autaugaville had to settle for a 43-41 loss against Dallas County. Autaugaville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Marbury, who are still winless after their fifth game. They took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Benjamin Russell on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from DJ Graham, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamar Brown, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Autaugaville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Marbury, they have yet to win a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 0-5 record.
Autaugaville strolled past Marbury when the teams last played back in January by a score of 54-37. Will Autaugaville repeat their success, or does Marbury have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
