Basketball Recap: Buckeye Local Takes a Loss

Buckeye Local was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Catholic Central Crusaders, falling 59-30. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 817th, while the Crusaders are ranked 257th).

Buckeye Local's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Catholic Central, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buckeye Local will take on Toronto at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Toronto's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for Catholic Central, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bridgeport at 6:30 p.m. Bridgeport is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.1 points per game this season.
