Basketball Game Preview: Wyatt Chaparrals vs. Dunbar Wildcats

The Wyatt Chaparrals will head out on the road to challenge the Dunbar Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wyatt is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Wyatt's tournament run continued when they took on Waco on Saturday. Wyatt took a 54-39 bruising from Waco. That's two games in a row now that the Chaparrals have lost by exactly 15 points.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 91-50, which was the final score in Dunbar's tilt against R.W. Goines Stem Academy on Tuesday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wyatt's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Dunbar, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Wyatt didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Dunbar in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 50-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wyatt since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
