Baseball Recap: Lyme Central Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Lyme Central's offense. They lost 9-0 to the Thousand Islands Vikings on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Lakers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lyme Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Thousand Islands, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Lyme Central will take on Alexandria Central at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Thousand Islands, they are taking a road trip to face off against Sackets Harbor Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.86 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
