Aptos has gone a perfect 10-0 against Scotts Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Aptos Mariners will be playing in front of their home fans against the Scotts Valley Falcons at 4:30 p.m. This will be Aptos' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Aptos and St. Francis, and St. Francis kept the tradition alive. Aptos fell just short of St. Francis by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday.

Aptos saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dom Castillo, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Adam Ayon also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Scotts Valley posted their closest victory since May 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Santa Teresa 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Aptos' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Scotts Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Aptos beat Scotts Valley 6-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Does Aptos have another victory up their sleeve, or will Scotts Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
