Basketball Recap: Bethlehem Skates Past Vernon with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Bethlehem over Vernon in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wildcats blew the Yellowjackets out of the water with a 75-39 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-16.

Bethlehem was led to victory by Kason Paul and Justin Miller. Paul shot 54% from the field en route to 17 points in addition to seven assists and four steals, while Miller almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. Thanks to that strong game, Paul now owns an excellent 45.7% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolton Amerson, who posted 15 points and seven rebounds.

Bethlehem smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Bethlehem's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. As for Vernon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Bethlehem has already played their next contest, a 90-68 defeat against Chipley on the 5th. As for Vernon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-34 loss against Poplar Springs on the 4th.
