Baseball Recap: Sun Valley Takes a Loss

Sun Valley was the 9-4 winner over Marvin Ridge when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell 9-4 to the Mavericks on Tuesday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brian Devereaux was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Coen DeCarlo was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Sun Valley's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Marvin Ridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

While Sun Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
