Basketball Recap: Liberty County Extends Winning Streak to Four

If Sneads wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Liberty County, they should've done a better job of containing Kashon Chambers. The Liberty County Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 58-42 victory over the Sneads Pirates on Tuesday thanks in part to Chambers, who went 12 of 25 en route to 27 points. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Carson Haupt, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Sneads' loss came despite strong showings from Mekhi Mcleod and Aaron Williams. Mcleod went 6 of 8 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds, while Williams went 5 of 6 on his way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamien Johnson, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.

The win (which was Liberty County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points per game. As for Sneads, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.

Liberty County will head out to challenge Aucilla Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th. Aucilla Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.1 points per game this season. As for Sneads, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-35 defeat against Munroe on the 9th.
