Preview: Chaparral Wolverines vs. Fruita Monument Wildcats
The Chaparral Wolverines will head out on the road to square off against the Fruita Monument Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Chaparral has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The contest between them and ThunderRidge wasn't particularly close, with Chaparral falling 47-31.
Meanwhile, Fruita Monument unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Montrose.
Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Fruita Monument, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-3.
Chaparral lost to Fruita Monument on the road by a decisive 68-52 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2016. Thankfully for Chaparral, Riley Snyder (who scored 35 points along with two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
