Softball Recap: Northeast Bradford Wins Going Away Against Troy

Northeast Bradford lost to Troy back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. Northeast Bradford put the hurt on Troy with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Hannah Berger, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Orissa Gardner, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Northeast Bradford and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Troy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Northeast Bradford will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Blue Ridge at 10:00 a.m. on April 12. Troy has already played their next game (against Liberty), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
