Football Recap: Texas Wind Triumphs + How To Watch

Texas Wind lost to BVCHEA HomeSchool back in September of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Texas Wind walked away with a 48-40 win over BVCHEA HomeSchool. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Texas Wind.

Rhys Bonow was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 405 yards and five TDs while picking up 14.0 yards per attempt. Those 405 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Zane Walker was another key player, picking up 206 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Despite the loss, BVCHEA HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Charlie Pote, who rushed for 234 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 272 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt. Pote's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 12th straight game with at least 120 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Texas Wind's record is now 2-0. As for BVCHEA HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Texas Wind will take on Westlake Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for BVCHEA HomeSchool, they will face off against Alpha Omega Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
