Football Game Preview: Modoc vs. Mt. Shasta

Mt. Shasta have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Modoc at 7:30 PM. Both teams are strolling into their contest after big wins in their previous games.

Mt. Shasta had to kick off their season on the road two weeks ago, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 42-14 margin over Central Valley. With Mt. Shasta ahead 29-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Modoc took their matchup against Portola last Friday by a conclusive 41-20 score. Modoc were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Their wins bumped Modoc to 1-1 and Mt. Shasta to 1-0. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
