Basketball Recap: Kingston Takes a Loss

Kingston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holdenville Wolverines.

Holdenville was led to victory by Kase Sipes and Wyatt Seeley. Sipes went 6 for 13 en route to 17 points, while Seeley posted 11 points and six steals. Seeley is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Jordan Stafford was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.

Kingston's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Holdenville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kingston will venture away from home to square off against Dickson at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holdenville, they will head out to face off against Wewoka at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
