Basketball Game Preview: Frederica Academy vs. John Milledge Academy Trojans

Frederica Academy will head out on the road to face off against the John Milledge Academy Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Frederica Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully John Milledge Academy likes a good challenge.

Frederica Academy not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 24th (when they won 65-35). Everything went their way against Robert Toombs Christian Academy as they made off with a 55-34 win. The victory continues a trend for Frederica Academy in their matchups with Robert Toombs Christian Academy: they've now won five in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Frederica Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaylen Baldwin, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Baldwin now owns an excellent 46.2% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Jakeor Ford, who posted nine points along with seven assists and five steals.

Frederica Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, John Milledge Academy lost to Brentwood at home by a 63-46 margin on Friday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Frederica Academy will need to focus on slowing down Brayden Faulkner, one of several John Milledge Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He went 7-for-16 on his way to 16 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Cowart, who put up ten points.

Frederica Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for John Milledge Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
