Plano and Plano West are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Plano Wildcats will head out to face off against the Plano West Wolves at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Plano has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Plano lost 13-3 to Lone Star on Friday.

Meanwhile, Plano West can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over Rains.

The team relied heavily on Abby Cuellar, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaaya Mehta, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Plano West hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most two strikeouts in four consecutive matches.

Plano has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. Plano West now has a winning record of 6-5.

Plano skirted past Plano West 6-5 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plano since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
