Basketball Recap: Kennett Gets the Win

If Kelly wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Kennett, they should've done a better job of containing Alyce Edwards. The Kennett Indians walked away with a 64-54 victory over the Kelly Hawks on Tuesday thanks in part to Edwards, who went 16 for 40 on her way to 40 points and five steals. Her evening made it 12 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Brooklynn Edwards was another key player, going 6 of 9 on her way to 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The win got Kennett back to even at 6-6. As for Kelly, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Kennett will welcome Malden at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kelly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
