Basketball Recap: Eston Mcdow Key Part of a Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

Chamblee got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They strolled past the Lakeside Vikings with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 53-37. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Vikings are ranked 462nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chamblee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eston Mcdow led the charge by going 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Meyer, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sterling Pritchett, who put up 15 points. Kareem Hopkins was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Chamblee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Lakeside, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Chamblee will take on Bethlehem Christian Academy in a holiday battle at at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lakeside, they will take on Druid Hills in a tournament on December 27th.
